Friends’ Work Party Monday 10th February 2020

The next work party will be on Monday 10th February meeting at 1.30 at Knowehead Cottage ( next to the Burrell Gallery ). We will be meeting up with the Hedgehog officer of The Conservation Volunteers and we will be planting hedges that hedgehogs like.

Please come and join us and don’t forget to bring work gloves and wear old clothes.

Friends’ Work Party Monday 3rdFebruary at 1.30pm

The next Friends’ work party will be on Monday 3rd February meeting at 1.30pm at Knowehead Lodge just next to the Burrell gallery. We will be planting trees continuing with our efforts to build a hedge to shelter hedgehogs along the edges of the woods. We will also be doing a litter pick in the woods near the Burrell car park. Please join us and don’t forget to bring work gloves. All over 18s welcome !

Transforming Pollok Country Park – new public meeting 4th February 2020

The Transforming Pollok Country Park project team have today written to previous consultation attendees about a further consultation event, ahead of the start of the formal planning process.

We thought it’d be helpful to share the details we received. We’ve also setup this Facebook event if you’d like reminders.

Following previous consultation events, Glasgow City Council and Glasgow Life would like to invite you to a public meeting on the access proposals being developed for Pollok Country Park, as part of the Transforming Pollok Country Park project.

The purpose of this meeting is to share the proposals, summarise recent changes in response to feedback from previous consultations, and outline current progress ahead of a formal planning submission later in February 2020.

Transforming Pollok Country Park Public Meeting

Tuesday 4 February, 6.30–7.45pm at Pollokshaws Burgh Hall, Pollokshaws Road, G43 1NE

The meeting will include a presentation lasting up to 45 minutes followed by up to 30 minutes for questions.

Friends’ Work Party restarts on Monday 13th January

Got a New Year resolution to do good things? Well we have the answer. Our Friends’ work party restarts on Monday coming 13th January. Meet at the Wildlife garden- near the crane yard and public toilets at the Stable Block- at 1.30pm. Please wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and bring gardening gloves. Look forward to seeing you then!
