Work Party Monday 4th November 2019

The next Friends’ work party is on Monday coming 4th November. We meet at 1.30 at the crane yard just next to the public toilets at the old stable block. We will be working mainly in the Wildlife garden.
Please come along- all over 18s welcome- bring work gloves and wear old clothes!

The next Friends’ work party is on Monday coming 28th October. We meet at 1.30 at the crane yard just next to the public toilets at the old stable block. We will be working mainly in the Wild life garden with a little bench painting if it is dry.
Please come along- all over 18s welcome- bring work gloves and old clothes!

Friends Work Party Monday 21 October 2019

Our Monday afternoon work parties are still focusing on the Wild Life garden with some bench painting if the weather is kind and cutting back vegetation in various locations.

If you are over 18 why not come along and give it a try ? You can go at your own pace and stay for just a bit – just whatever suits you. Every little helps ! Please wear old clothes and bring work gloves.

Work Party Monday 14th October

It would be good to have some new people join our work party on Monday afternoons at 1.30. There is a lot to be done in the wild life garden and there is painting when the weather is good and there is lots of vegetation and Rhoddies to be cut back. You can go at your own pace and stay for just a bit – just whatever suits you. Every little helps ! Why not come and try it out? The next Friends’ work party will be on Monday7th October starting at 1.30pm. We hope to be working in the wildlife garden again, weeding the paths and cutting back vegetation. There is also some bench painting and cutting back rhododendrons around the Tibetan cherry trees. If you are able to help you would be very welcome. Over 18s only. Please wear long sleeves and trousers and bring work gloves. All other equipment supplied. We meet at the crane yard near the public toilets at the old stable block at 1.30. Hope to see you there!

Transforming Pollok Country Park: Consultation displays available online

We hope you made it along to the recent ‘Transforming Pollok Country Park’ consultation event in Pollokshaws Library?

We’re pleased to report that Glasgow Life have now made the presentation boards available on their website.

If you’d like to feed back you just need to do so on or before Friday 26th September 2019. You can do that by emailing PollokCountryParkTransformation@glasgowlife.org.uk

We understand that planning applications and Traffic Regulation Orders are due in late 2019. We’ll publicise this next opportunity to feed back when we hear the details!
